EDMONTON, AB - The Oilers have loaned forward Adam Cracknell to the Esbjerg Energy of Denmark's Metal Ligaen for the beginning of the 2020-21 season.
The 35-year-old signed a one-year, two-way contract with Edmonton on Sept. 10 after spending the 2019-20 season with Kunlun Red Star of the KHL. Cracknell scored 24 points (10 goals, 14 assists) with 16 penalty minutes and a +1 plus-minus rating in 52 games with the Chinese squad, also serving as an alternate captain.
The 6-foot-3, 209-pound forward has played in 210 NHL games over nine seasons (with St. Louis, Columbus, Vancouver, Edmonton, Dallas, New York Rangers and Anaheim), posting 43 points (21 goals, 22 assists), 46 penalty minutes and a +3 plus-minus rating.
