EDMONTON, AB - The Oilers have loaned forward Dominik Kahun to EHC Red Bull Munchen of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga until the start of the 2020-21 NHL season.
Edmonton agreed to terms with the 25-year-old left-winger on a one-year, $975,000 contract on Monday before loaning him to the DEL squad that he spent four seasons with before making the jump to the NHL in 2018-19 with the Chicago Blackhawks.
Kahun scored 12 goals and 29 assists in 42 regular season games and four goals with 10 assists in 17 playoff games with Red Bull Munchen in 2017-18 as the team won the DEL championship.
He has scored 25 goals and 43 assists in 138 games with the Blackhawks, Pittsburgh Penguins and Buffalo Sabres over the course of his first two NHL campaigns.
