EDMONTON, AB - The Edmonton Oilers have placed forward Evander Kane on Long Term Injured Reserve (LTIR) and recalled forwards Klim Kostin and Mattias Janmark from the Bakersfield Condors.
Kane will miss three-to-four-months with a wrist injury sustained in the second period of Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning.
After being immediately assessed by doctors, paramedics and the training staffs of both the Oilers and Lightning, Kane was transported to the hospital and is in stable condition following a procedure on Tuesday night. On Wednesday morning, Kane delivered his own statement via Twitter:
