EDMONTON, AB - The Western Conference finalist Edmonton Oilers are preparing for another season of NHL hockey with today's announcement of the 2022-23 schedule.
The Oilers will renew their quest for the Stanley Cup with their home opener versus the Vancouver Canucks on Wednesday, Oct. 12. The Blue & Orange have started the season at home 32 previous times with a record of 20-9-3 in those games and are 4-2-0 in season openers against the Canucks.
The early Pacific Division matchup against Vancouver launches a six-game homestand to start the season with the Calgary Flames in town on Saturday, Oct. 15 for the Battle of Alberta.
The Buffalo Sabres (Oct. 18), Carolina Hurricanes (Oct. 20), St. Louis Blues (Oct. 22) and Sidney Crosby's Pittsburgh Penguins (Oct. 24) round out October's home schedule before the club hits the road to take on the Blues, Chicago Blackhawks and Flames to close out the month.
