EDMONTON, AB - The Edmonton Oilers have signed free agent defencemen Benjamin Gleason to a two-year contract with an average annual value (AAV) of $775,000. The first year of the deal is a two-way contract, with the second year being one-way.

The 25-year-old blueliner had spent the last five seasons in the Dallas Stars organization, recording 29 goals and 112 assists in 290 AHL games with the Texas Stars after signing as an undrafted free agent in 2018. Gleason notched 37 points in 72 AHL games for Texas and one assist in four career NHL games with Dallas during his first professional season in 2018-19.
