EDMONTON, AB - The Edmonton Oilers have signed forward Brad Malone to a two-year, two-way contract extension with an average annual value (AAV) of $762,500.
Malone (6-foot-2, 217 pounds) spent the majority of the 2021-22 season with the Bakersfield Condors (AHL), appearing in 52 games and recording 14 goals and 25 assists for 39 points along with 65 penalty minutes and a plus/minus rating of +10. He added another four points (2G, 2A) over five post-season games.
The 33-year-old forward was recalled to the Oilers for a stretch in March where he saw action in eight games, including the 200th appearance of his career on March 1 against the Philadelphia Flyers. He notched his lone points of the regular season versus the Washington Capitals on March 9 with a goal and an assist.
