EDMONTON, AB -- The Edmonton Oilers have signed forward Mattias Janmark to a one-year contract extension with an average annual value (AAV) of $1,000,000.

Janmark appeared in 66 games during his first season as an Oiler in 2022-23, recording 10 goals and 15 assists for 25 points with a plus/minus of +9. The 6-foot-1, 205-pound winger also added 26 blocked shots and 27 takeaways during the regular season.

Averaging 14:40 time on ice per game, he also logged 128:49 in total shorthanded TOI and potted a career-high three shorthanded goals last year, trailing only Connor McDavid (4).

This past postseason, Janmark played five playoff games, posting an assist and a plus/minus of +1.

Originally drafted by the Detroit Red Wings in 2013 (third round, 79th overall), the native of Danderyd, Sweden has played 486 games collecting 183 points including 76 goals and 107 assists.
