EDMONTON, AB -The Edmonton Oilers have signed forward Ryan McLeod to a one-year contract extension with an average annual value (AAV) of $798,000.
The 23-year-old centreman scored nine goals and 21 points in 71 games during his NHL rookie season in 2021-22, in addition to three goals and one assist in 16 playoff games.
McLeod was selected in the second round (40th overall) at the 2018 NHL Draft. Two of his goals last season came on the power play and one of his nine tallies was a game-winner.
Prior to becoming a full-time NHL player, the Mississauga, Ont., native recorded 20 goals and 56 points in 91 career AHL games with the Bakersfield Condors.
