BAKERSFIELD, CA – Matt Savoie's red-hot recent stretch with the Bakersfield Condors has earned him a trip to the 2025 American Hockey League All-Star Classic.

The Oilers forward prospect, acquired in a trade with the Buffalo Sabres last July, has scored five goals and seven assists in his last seven games, bringing him up to nine goals and 15 assists in 29 games on the season. He also leads the Condors with a plus-seven rating.

Savoie, a native of St. Albert, was selected ninth overall by the Sabres at the 2022 NHL Draft and scored 30 goals with 41 assists in 34 games split between the Wenatchee Wild and Moose Jaw Warriors of the Western Hockey League last season.

He also scored 10 goals and 14 assists in 19 playoff games as the Warriors won the WHL title.

Savoie will represent Bakersfield at the AHL All-Star Classic coming up Feb. 2-3 in Palm Desert, California, hosted by the Coachella Valley Firebirds. He was one of 12 NHL first-round picks selected.
