RELEASE: The Drop on Oilers+ announced among Rosie Awards finalists

EDMONTON, AB - The Edmonton Oilers all-access documentary series "The Drop" on the team's streaming platform Oilers+ has been selected as a finalist for two Alberta Media Production Industries Association (AMPIA) Rosie Awards.

The Rosie Awards celebrate excellence and outstanding achievement in Alberta's screen industries, and episodes of The Drop have been selected as finalists in two categories for this year's accolades.

Episode 15 "Character Is Power" that provided behind-the-scenes coverage of the Oilers management team leading up the 2023 NHL Trade Deadline has been named a finalist in the Best Documentary Series category, while Episode 12 "Big Apple Business" that covered the New York road trip is up for Best Cinematographer (Documentary Over 30 minutes).

The Rosies are the oldest live film and television awards event in Canada, celebrating 50 years in 2023, and award winners will be announced on Saturday, Sept. 30.
