Penguins captain Sidney Crosby practiced with his teammates on Tuesday for the first time since being hit in the foot with a shot during Pittsburgh's preseason contest last Saturday.
"I felt good today," Crosby said after practice. "I'm glad I felt good today. We'll get ready for Game 1."

Game 1 will be Thursday night when the Penguins host the Buffalo Sabres at PPG Paints Arena in the season opener. While he felt good at practice, Crosby didn't comment on his availability for the opener.
"I haven't talked to (head athletic trainer Chris Stewart) yet," he said. "I don't know the plan. I felt good today. I'm sure right after this he'll ask me how I felt."
Crosby suffered the injury late in the first period against the Sabres. He left the game and did not return.
"I was trying to get out of the way and got caught," Crosby said. "That happens. I should either face it and block it or get out of the way.
"That happens 1,000 times. It just got me in a good spot. I got hit by a shot."
Head coach Mike Sullivan was optimistic about Crosby's return to practice.
"I thought he looked terrific," Sullivan said.
