McGinn has been a vital member of Pittsburgh's second-ranked penalty killing unit, as his 1:59 minutes of shorthanded time-on-ice per game is second among team forwards, and fourth overall on Pittsburgh.
The Fergus, Ontario native has played in 401 career NHL games split between Pittsburgh and Carolina, where he's recorded 62 goals, 62 assists and 124 points.
