Pittsburgh will debut its Reverse Retro jerseys at Monday's game against the Rangers. The Penguins will wear the jerseys on the road for five of the six occasions, the lone home game coming on April 15 against Philadelphia.
These jerseys will feature a diagonal "PITTSBURGH" text on the center of the chest, the first of its kind since the 1996-97 season.
The adidas Reverse Retro jerseys mark the first time that all 31 teams will participate in a League-wide alternate jersey program. adidas worked closely with the NHL and each team to design a Reverse Retro jersey representing unique and historical moments in each club's history, while refreshing the color and design combination for an all-new presentation.
For a third-straight season, the Penguins will sport their third jersey that features a dynamic gold background with black sleeves and white and gold striping. Pittsburgh will wear the jersey for the first time this season on February 4 when it hosts New Jersey.
Since debuting the third jerseys on Nov. 15, 2018, Pittsburgh has an impressive record of 17-7-1 after a 10-2-0 record in 2018-19 and a 7-5-1 mark during the 2019-20 season.
