Penguins Announce Roster Moves

The Pittsburgh Penguins have activated defenseman Jeff Petry from long-term injured reserve and goaltender Tristan Jarry from injured reserve, it was announced today by General Manager Ron Hextall.
Goaltender Dustin Tokarski and defenseman Taylor Fedun have been re-assigned to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League.
Defenseman Kris Letang has been placed on long-term injured reserve retroactive to December 28, and defenseman Jan Rutta has been placed on injured reserve retroactive to January 14.

Petry, 35, has skated in 28 games in his first season with the Penguins after being acquired along with Ryan Poehling from Montreal in July. The defenseman has recorded three goals, nine assists and 12 points and is a plus-4. His three goals are tied for the most among all Penguins defensemen, while his 12 points are the third-most (tied). Through 28 games, he is averaging 22:20 minutes of time on ice, which is the second-highest among all Penguins.
Jarry, 27, suited up for 25 games this season prior to getting injured in the Winter Classic on Jan. 2 at Fenway Park. This season, the Penguins have picked up points in 19 of Jarry's 25 starts this season (76%), as he's gone 15-5-4 with a 2.75 goals-against average, .918 save percentage and one shutout. His .918 save percentage is tied for seventh in the NHL (min. 15 GP).
