The 6-foot-3, 217-pound Trotman appeared in eight games with Pittsburgh in 2019-20. At the AHL level last season, he notched four goals, 10 assists and 14 points in 27 games. Trotman's three goals ranked tied for second among WBS blueliners.
A Carmel, Indiana native, Trotman has seen action in 91 NHL games spanning six seasons with both Boston and Pittsburgh, totaling 13 points (3G-10A) and a career plus-1.
