Seven players from the Pittsburgh Penguins Elite youth program were drafted this week by teams in the United States Hockey League.
The USHL is the top junior league in the country and will again hold its "Fall Classic" at the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex in September.

In the first phase of the USHL draft, for players with 2002 birth years, the following players were drafted:
In the second phase, involving all players with birth years before 2002, the following players were drafted:
Dowiak, Servagno and Veltri also committed to NCAA Division 1 programs - Dowiak at Penn State, Servagno at Ohio State and Veltri at Niagara.
