The "Seats for Strength" program, started during the 2018.19 season, will bring children to each Penguins home game who receive therapeutic services at Matilda Theiss. The Matilda Theiss Early Childhood Behavioral Health Programs serve as the cornerstone of early childhood mental health services at UPMC Western Psychiatric Hospital. The Matilda Theiss Center offers a variety of programs to promote the health and well-being of pediatric clients and their families, including approaches in early childhood mental health and trauma treatment that promote healthy bonds with parents and caregivers in order to enhance children's capacity for trust, empathy, and compassion.
EMBRACE Pittsburgh
will supplement the efforts of Rust and Bjugstad by adding $25 per ticket in loaded value for food and beverages.
The Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation will help to coordinate the "Seats for Strength" program throughout the season with the Matilda Theiss Center, the Penguins Foundation's partner on their
COOL Zone
program.
