The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled defenseman Derrick Pouliot from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League, it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Jim Rutherford.
Pouliot, 23, enjoyed his best game as a professional last Saturday, generating four points (1G-3A) in the WBS Penguins' 8-1 defeat of Hartford. Pouliot has produced 18 points (6G-12A) over his last 26 AHL contests.
Pouliot has played in eight NHL games this season, and he has 14 points (2G-12A) in 64 career NHL contests.
At the AHL level, Pouliot has 65 points (19G-46A) and is plus-29 in 103 career regular-season games.
