Following Wednesday's practice, head coach Mike Sullivan announced that goaltender Matt Murray is day-to-day with an upper-body injury. Murray did not participate in Wednesday's practice.
Jarry, 23, has played in 27 AHL games this season with WBS, compiling a 15-9-3 record, 2.75 goals-against average and a .912 save percentage. He is 8-3 in his last 11 starts prior to his recall. On November 14 at Springfield, he became the first goalie in franchise history to score a goal when he shot the puck the length of the ice into the empty net.
Last year, Jarry played in 26 NHL games for Pittsburgh, going 14-6-2. His 14 victories led all NHL rookies. This year, Jarry is 0-1-1 in two NHL starts earlier in the season.
