Former Preds defenseman P.K. Subban wanted to use his platform as a professional athlete and member of the Nashville Predators to make our community a better place.

In 2017, Subban and the Preds partnered with the Metro Nashville Police Department to create a unique program designed to bring police and local youth together, forge relationships and break down barriers, using our home hockey games as the link. The program pairs a police officer with a youth from a local youth organization at every home game to facilitate a night of conversation and learning while building a positive mentorship. Though P.K. has retired, the Nashville Predators continued the Blueline Buddies program with the team's leadership group.

What does a Blueline Buddies experience include?

Each Blueline Buddies group will start the night meeting a member of the Preds executive team, before sitting down for a gourmet dinner and finally enjoying a Predators game inside Bridgestone Arena. After the game, the group will head down to the locker room to meet a Preds player.
