Nashville Predators Player Initiatives

Over the years, several Nashville Predators players have developed programs dedicated to supporting charities and organizations around the city of Nashville. Below are the current player programs for the 2023-24 season.

365 Pediatric Cancer Fund Presented By Twice Daily

Pekka Rinne

Launched during the 2013-14 season, the 365 Pediatric Cancer Fund presented by Twice Daily is an initiative of the Nashville Predators Foundation and two of the team's icons, goaltender Pekka Rinne and former captain Shea Weber.

The 365 Pediatric Cancer Fund presented by Twice Daily works with Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt to raise funds and awareness for cancer research. Additionally, the initiative coordinates with the team to host a series of opportunities that enable the hospital's young patrons and their families to get a special dose of the Smashville hockey experience.

90's Mighty RO'R

Ryan O'Reilly

Ryan O’Reilly and the Nashville Predators are proud to announce the 90’s Mighty RO’R program which provides young community all-stars from the Middle Tennessee area who display core character traits - courage, compassion, leadership, perseverance and respect - with an unforgettable Preds game experience. The program, originally started by Ryan in St. Louis, will continue in Smashville! Parents, teachers, coaches and Preds fans are encouraged nominate Middle Tennessee children ages 16 and under by filling out the below form and describing ways the nominee exemplifies these core characteristics and go above and beyond for others.

A selection committee will choose one kid for every Preds home game, to receive four tickets, recognition as the 90’s Mighty R’OR Community All-Star of the Game and a VIP experience.

Blueline Buddies

Teamwide Initiative

In 2017, defenseman P.K. Subban and the Preds Foundation partnered with Metro Nashville Police Department to create a unique program designed to bring police and local youth together, forge relationships and break down barriers, using our home hockey games as the link. The program pairs a police officer with a youth from a local youth organization at every home game to facilitate a night of conversation and learning while building a positive mentorship. Though P.K. has retired, the Nashville Predators continued the Blueline Buddies program with the team's leadership group.

Best Buddies

Roman Josi

Nashville Predators Captain Roman Josi provides tickets for a different buddy pair from Best Buddies to attend a game at Bridgestone Arena. The buddies get taken down to the Lexus Lounge outside the Preds locker room and high-five the team as they head out to the ice for the game.

Youth Hockey Clinic

Filip Forsberg

Since 2019, Filip and Erin Forsberg are proud to offer youth hockey players the opportunity to sharpen their skills and learn from the very best at the Filip Forsberg Hockey Clinic presented by Delta Dental of Tennessee. This clinic is held each year in early September at one of the Nashville Predators Ford Ice Center facilities.

Holiday Outreach

Dante Fabbro, Colton Sissons, Alexandre Carrier

The Preds Foundation along with Dante Fabbro, Colton Sissons and Alexandre Carrier are proud to partner each holiday season to purchase gifts for deserving Nashville youth. The special holiday initiative culminates with a party held at Bridgestone Arena where the gifts are personally delivered by Fabbro, Sissons and Carrier.

Preds Pet Club

Juuse Saros

Juuse and Minna Saros, along with their dog Kesä, are excited to put their own spin on the previous work of Weber's Woof Pack and Arvy's A.R.C., with a focus on animal rescue and foster organizations. This club is designed for the furry members of your family. Your pet will receive a package with Preds pet merchandise, and you will be invited to members-only dog park meet-ups. Pack membership is limited to the first 250 pets. Proceeds will benefit various local animal rescue and foster organizations.

Ford Military Salute

Teamwide Initiative

In partnership with Ford, the Nashville Predators proudly honor and recognize the brave men and women who have served or currently serve in the United States Armed Forces. As part of the Military Salute Program, the Predators and Ford will recognize military personnel in-arena at home games throughout the season.
