Celebrating Black History Month at Black Music Heritage Night Presented by Nissan!

The Nashville Predators are proud to celebrate Black History Month with the local community! Join us at Bridgestone Arena for Black Music Heritage Night Presented by Nissan on Feb. 8, featuring celebrations all throughout the game. The first 10,000 fans in attendance will receive a mini vinyl record coaster with this year’s Black community celebration jersey design inspired by street art and hip-hop. This year's logo is designed by local artist Erihii Nyamor.

Preds Black Music Heritage Night Jersey

Local artist Erihii reimagines the iconic Pred Head with a nod to hip hop, graffiti street art and black history. In addition to other musical elements, a bass clef is utilized as the saber tooth of the logo to showcase the vibration one feels not only listening to music but watching a hockey game inside Bridgestone Arena. Erihii’s one-of-a-kind design will be featured on limited-edition T-shirts for sale and player signed jerseys available through the Predators Foundation’s game day silent auction. Black Music Heritage Game Night Celebrations

Included in the overall celebration of Black Music Heritage night, the Preds will highlight local black artists on the Music Heritage Showcase Stage presented by Nissan. Hosted by Zack McCann and Shannon Sanders during pregame in the main atrium, stage performances will include:

  • Country Artist Don Louis
  • The Mount Zion Choir
  • Jazz Musician Rod McGaha
  • Hip Hop Artist Daisha McBride

In addition to the Music Heritage Showcase Stage, the night will feature also feature the National Anthem performed by the Meharry Medical College Gospel Choir, band stage performances by Soulchess, a concourse performance from Cameron Vance, photo opportunities, in-game features, and activities celebrating Black Music Heritage.

Located in the Nissan space near the main atrium escalators, learn more about the many music genres created, influenced, and inspired by African Americans throughout this pop-up exhibit expertly-curated by the National Museum of African American Music.
