Nashville, Tenn. (November 21, 2019) - Just over a month after its grand opening, Ford Ice Center Bellevue will host the first-ever Country Classic Women's Division I College Hockey Tournament from Nov. 29-30. The tournament will feature four of the nation's top Division I women's programs - the Boston College Eagles, Harvard Crimson, University of Minnesota Golden Gophers and Wisconsin Badgers.
"We're thrilled to host four of the Top 10 collegiate women's hockey programs in the country and some of the best female hockey players in the world in Bellevue over Thanksgiving weekend," Vice President and Ford Ice Centers General Manager Danny Butler said. "The Country Classic will offer yet another amazing opportunity for aspiring hockey players, and especially young girls, to watch and learn from these athletes who compete at an extremely high level. After hosting the record-breaking NWHL All-Star Weekend in February, we're looking forward to doing our part to grow the game in Tennessee with this event."

In the two days following Thanksgiving, the Country Classic will provide an exciting and budget-friendly activity for families and hockey fans in the Nashville area. To gain access to each of the tournament's four games, fans can purchase a full-weekend pass for $50, but for those who aren't able to attend every matchup, $15 single-game passes are also available.
