The Round One series between the Predators and the Hurricanes shifts to Nashville for the next two games.
The Preds made three changes to their lineup for Game 2, with forward Calle Jarnkrok missing the contest due to a non-COVID illness and winger Eeli Tolvanen, forward Brad Richardson and defenseman Matt Benning coming in for winger Mathieu Olivier and blueliner Ben Harpur.
The Hurricanes took a 1-0 lead in the first period of Wednesday's game, and the Preds were never able to find an equalizier, even into the final minutes of regulation. The result means Nashville faces a 2-0 series deficit, as the playoff matchup moves to Music City. The Predators have tied a playoff series with wins at home in Games 3 and 4 four times in franchise history (2004, 2008, 2016 and 2017).

On Friday, Jarnkrok joined the Preds for their full morning skate. Predators Head Coach John Hynes said Jarnkrok is feeling much better and will be back in the lineup tonight. He also said Tolvanen will remain in the lineup after making his playoff debut in Game 2.
Hynes mentioned he will make personnel and systematic changes to the club's power play in an effort to help a group that went 0-for-7 in Game 2.
Carolina was without defenseman Jaccob Slavin for Game 2, after he played in Game 1. Hurricanes Head Coach Rod Brind'Amour said Slavin will be a game-time decision throughout the postseason.
