The Nashville Predators continue their five-game homestand tonight as the Colorado Avalanche return to Bridgestone Arena for the first time since Round One of the 2018 Stanley Cup Playoffs.
It's the second of four meetings between the two divisional rivals this season; Nashville defeated Colorado 4-1 at the Pepsi Center earlier this month for their 11th consecutive victory over the Avs, their longest active streak against any opponent.
The Preds won their sixth straight at home when they defeated the Anaheim Ducks by a 5-2 final on Sunday night, thanks in large part to a hat trick from Austin Watson. It was a bounce back effort from the Predators after dropping a 6-2 decision to the Blues on Friday.

Nashville won Sunday without the services of center Kyle Turris who was placed on Injured Reserve prior to the game. Turris joined forward Viktor Arvidsson and defenseman P.K. Subban on IR.

Last Time Out:
In addition to Watson's first-career hat trick, Nick Bonino and Craig Smith also tallied in the win. Two of Nashville's five goals came on the power play and Bonino now has four goals on the season, all of which have come in his last six games. Goaltender Pekka Rinne made 17 saves on the night to collect his 10th win of the season.
Filip Forsberg and Ryan Johansen share the team lead in points with 21, followed by Roman Josi with 17 and Mattias Ekholm with 15. There are 13 Preds skaters with at least 10 points on the season, tops among all NHL teams.
The Opposition:
Colorado has won four consecutive games, including a 3-2 win over Dallas on Saturday night. Mikko Rantanen (38 points) and Nathan MacKinnon (35 points) not only lead the Avalanche in scoring, they also pace the entire NHL. MacKinnon has 15 goals on the season, Gabriel Landeskog has 14 and Rantanen has 10. Semyon Varlamov is 8-5-2 on the season with a .926 save percentage.

During the streak, Nashville has posted 4.20 goals per game and has held Colorado to two-or-fewer goals seven times.
