The Nashville Predators will look to end their two-game skid tonight when they host the Chicago Blackhawks tonight at Bridgestone Arena. It's the first of four meetings between the two divisional rivals this season.
It won't be difficult for the Preds to find motivation this evening - not only does a Saturday night meeting with the Blackhawks deliver plenty of animosity to begin with, but the home team wants to avenge an effort from Thursday night's 3-0 loss to Arizona that they say simply wasn't good enough.
"You have to stay positive," Preds Captain Roman Josi said following Thursday's outing. "You never want to lose games. You always want to play well. It's a long season and if you go through a stretch like that you have to find your way out of it as quick as possible. That's by staying positive, not getting frustrated, and working on things that we can do a lot better. You have to take some positives out, too."
Update: The Preds
have recalled
forward Eeli Tolvanen from Milwaukee.

Last Time Out:
Nashville fell in back-to-back regulation games for just the second time this season as they were shut out by Arizona on Thursday. Pekka Rinne made 22 saves in the loss.
Filip Forsberg continues to lead the Preds with 14 goals and 22 points, followed by Ryan Johansen with 21 points and Josi with 18. Ryan Hartman has seven goals on the season, while Craig Smith and Calle Jarnkrok have six each.
Former Blackhawk and current Preds forward Hartman will face Chicago tonight for the first time since being traded last February.

The Opposition:
Chicago (9-12-5) has lost four of their last five games, including a 6-5 defeat in Winnipeg on Thursday. The Blackhawks have a new head coach behind the bench, 33-year-old Jeremy Colliton, who took over for Joel Quenneville after he was relieved of his duties on Nov. 6.
Patrick Kane leads the club with 13 goals and 29 points, followed by Jonathan Toews with 21 points and Alex DeBrincat with 20. Toews has 11 goals on the season, DeBrincat has 10 and Brandon Saad has tallied seven times. Corey Crawford is 5-10-1 in net for the Hawks; Cam Ward is 4-2-4.
All-Time Meetings:
The Predators are 48-48-(4)-9 all-time against the Blackhawks, including a 27-21-(3)-3 record at Bridgestone Arena. The Preds have earned at least a point in three of their last four games against Chicago (2-1-1), and Nashville has limited Chicago to two-or-fewer goals in each of their last four meetings.
This will be the 110th time the Predators and Blackhawks clash in the regular season, Nashville's most against a single opponent.
