The wait is almost over. To celebrate the legacy of legendary Nashville Predators goaltender Pekka Rinne, the Preds will unveil his life-sized bronze statue on Saturday, March 25 at 10 a.m.
Rinne's statue unveiling ceremony will be held on the northeast corner of the Bridgestone Arena Plaza, near the intersection of Broadway and Rep. John Lewis Way South.
Following the ceremony, the Preds will hit the ice against the Seattle Kraken at 1 p.m.
For those attending the statue unveiling, below are some answers to frequently asked questions ahead of Saturday's events:

When and where will the ceremony take place?

The ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. on the Bridgestone Arena plaza, which is located next to the intersection of Broadway and Rep. John Lewis Way South.
Attendees are encouraged to arrive early, as the plaza will be opened at 9 a.m.

Will there be any street closures downtown?

Please see below for street closures and times:

What time do doors open for the game?

Doors to Bridgestone Arena will open at 11 a.m. ahead of the game against Seattle.

Do I need tickets to attend the ceremony?

No. The ceremony is free and open to the public.

Are there other activities the morning of the ceremony?

Yes, the morning of the statue unveiling fans are invited to join us for the

Who will be attending the ceremony?

Longtime Preds broadcaster Pete Weber will emcee the event, while Predators President and CEO Sean Henry, President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile and Rinne himself are scheduled to speak during the ceremony as well.
Rinne's friend Mike Maguire from Best Buddies Tennessee and eight Hockey Fights Cancer patient ambassadors from the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt will attend and help unveil the statue.

What if I cannot attend the ceremony?

The ceremony, which is expected to last about 30 minutes, will also be
live streamed for free on NashvillePredators.com
and Ballysports.com and Bally Sports Plus.

Additional Initiatives

The Nashville Predators Foundation empowered by SmileDirectClub will host their second Hockey Fights Cancer Night of the season on March 25 when the Preds host the Kraken.
The Preds Foundation looks to build off the support seen during their Hockey Fights Cancer efforts last season, which raised $400,365.23 for the 365 Pediatric Cancer Fund presented by Twice Daily.

Who constructed the statue?

Rinne's statue was commissioned through Scott Wise, a renowned sculptor and Predators Season Ticket Citizen based in Clarksville, Tennessee where he also works as a firefighter.
The total process took one year to construct. The entire structure is 11 feet, 11 inches and weighs between 800-900 pounds. Rinne's actual gear, including his stick, glove, blocker and leg pads, were used to make the statue's bronze casting.
