Nashville, Tenn. (October 23, 2016) - Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced Saturday that the club has assigned goaltender Juuse Saros and forwards Frederick Gaudreau and Trevor Smith to Milwaukee (AHL).
Saros, who was recalled on an emergency basis on Saturday, started and earned his first NHL win against Pittsburgh last night. He stopped 34 of 35 shots, including all six while shorthanded. Gaudreau skated 9:01 and blocked three shots for the Preds in their 5-1 victory over the Penguins, while Smith blocked two shots in 7:20 of ice time.
The Predators travel to the West Coast this week for a five-game road trip beginning on Wednesday at Anaheim (9:30 p.m. CT, FOX Sports Tennessee, 102.5 The Game). Nashville returns to action at Bridgestone Arena on Saturday, Nov. 5, against the Carolina Hurricanes at 7:00 p.m. CT.
