KEY TAKEAWAYS

Glasser Goal
Cody Glass got the Preds on the board early with a shot from the point that beat Jack Campbell five-hole to give Nashville the 1-0 lead just over a minute into the first period. It was Glass' second goal of the season and his first since Oct. 18 vs. the Los Angeles Kings.

Mr. 200
Fabbro skated in his 200th career NHL game Tuesday and scored his first goal of the 2022-23 season to mark the occasion. He beat Campbell glove side from the high slot to cut Edmonton's lead to 4-3 at 9:53 of the second period.

Record-Setting Roman
With assists on both Glass' and Fabbro's goals, Preds captain Roman Josi now has 22 points (6g-16a) in his last 20 games. He is inching closer to passing David Legwand for the most points in franchise history; Josi (565) needs just one more point to tie Legwand (566) and two to pass him.
Josi also celebrated another milestone Tuesday, skating in his 787th career NHL game - the most ever by a Swiss-born player. With the new record, Josi overtakes Swiss legend - and one of his personal idols - Mark Streit (786).
"It means a lot, for sure," Josi said. "Mark Streit has been such a big influence in my hockey career and in my life. He was definitely one of my idols and I got to train with him for a long time and got to learn from him for a long time and he had a massive influence on my career and I'm very thankful to be his friend. And it's definitely a huge honor. You dream about playing in the NHL and to be able to have the most games as a Swiss player is definitely a dream come true."

THEY SAID IT

Johansen on the loss:
"We did good things tonight. They obviously have some world class talent over there with some of their guys and we didn't do a good enough job with them and we didn't do enough to win. So we've got to find ways to be better… We've tried everything we can. Just like our five-on-five game, we've got to find ways to be better and we've got to find ways to get the job done. That's what we get paid to do. That's why our power play guys were put in those spots, to get the job done. And we're not, so we've got to find a way."
Josi on Edmonton's top line of Draisaitl, McDavid and Hyman:
"I feel like the last couple times we've played them that line definitely made a difference. Obviously they're unbelievable players, but you can't give them three, four or five - I don't know how many points they had. And special teams was definitely a big factor, they scored two on the power play. And we had power play chances and didn't score and it's killing us right now. We didn't score in St. Louis either. I'm on the power play and I've got to be better and other guys who are on the power play have got to be better. We've got to score some goals. It's hard to win against a team like that with that much power. And if you don't score on the power play, it's tough."
Glass on Nashville's power play:
"I thought we had some good looks but at the end of the day, we just need to put them in the back of the net and I feel like that's one or two goals on the power play, it's a totally different game and that's where we're kind of lacking right now. We're just not producing and bearing down on our chances."
Josi on Nashville's power play:
"It's the same thing as last night in St. Louis. We had a lot of opportunities, we just can't find a way to score and it's killing our team right now. If you get one or two last night and get one or two tonight, it's a different game, so it's got to be better."
Johansen on Edmonton's power play:
"They've got some world-class talent over there. I don't know how many penalties we took - I think we only took two - but they scored on both. Our penalty killers have been doing a tremendous job and so that's tough. But sometimes you've got to tip your hat. We made a couple of great plays as well, but the moral of tonight, I think we've just got to find ways to be better."
Head Coach John Hynes on the loss:
"We were there. I mean they got two power play goals and we didn't get any. We were in reach of the game. I thought we had some really good stretches at times in the game but that ultimately comes down to the difference was their top line was excellent tonight. We lost a special teams battle. That was the difference in the game."
Hynes on Nashville's recent struggles vs. Edmonton:
"We've had a hard time containing [Edmonton's top line], with matchups, guys being able to play against those guys and be able to shut them down on a regular basis. And that's given us problems. Their power play is dynamic, and they seem to find ways to be able to score. In a lot of the games what's been the difference has been McDavid's line and the power play."
