Nashville, Tenn. (June 22, 2017) - The Nashville Predators begin their 20th season with two road games against Boston and Pittsburgh on Oct. 5 and 7, respectively, before the 2017-18 campaign, presented by Fifth Third Bank, heads back to Smashville. The season arrives at Bridgestone Arena for a two-day home stand against Philadelphia on Oct. 10 - with the raising of the Western Conference Champion Banner - and Dallas on Oct. 12 for exciting weekday matchups. The month of October sees the Preds face off against nine different opponents, two of which were postseason rivals during the 2017 Stanley Cup Playoff run.
After two on the road and two at home, the Preds will face the Blackhawks in Chicago on Oct. 14, their first meeting since the Preds swept them in their Round One series of the 2017 postseason. A short month later on Nov. 11, the Preds will play host to Stanley Cup Champion Pittsburgh Penguins, the first time playing against each other in Smashville since Game Six of the 2017 Stanley Cup Final. Later that month, the team will face their Round Two rival, St. Louis, on Nov. 24, the first of two road games against the Blues. The Preds will see their first of four, four-game home stands close the month of November and enter December.

After a short trip to Dallas on Dec. 5, the Predators will welcome the Vegas Golden Knights to Smashville on Dec. 8, just a few weeks before the Preds visit the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Jan. 2, their first game of 2017 and the start of a three-game road trip, which includes Arizona and Los Angeles. The club then heads out for a five-game home stand from Jan. 9-23, opening with Edmonton and closing with Tampa Bay - with the team's mandatory five-day break from Jan. 10-15 - then heads back on the road for one game in New Jersey before the 2018 NHL All-Star Weekend in Tampa Bay on Jan. 27-28.
Visits from Chicago, Los Angeles and the New York Rangers come from Jan. 30 - Feb. 3 before the Preds play their first road trip of the calendar's second month, facing the New York Islanders, Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal. The team returns home Feb. 13-19 for games against St. Louis, Calgary, Detroit and Ottawa, then leaves for a quick one-night trip to Detroit before returning again on Feb. 22 for games against San Jose and St. Louis. The team finishes out February and enters March with four games on the road and four at home. March sees 16 games total, split evenly between home and road dates.
Three of the four final games of the regular season take place on the road from April 1-5, with the team making a final trip to clash with opponents in Tampa Bay, Florida and Washington. The Predators close out their home slate and the 2017-18 season on Saturday, April 7, when the Columbus Blue Jackets come to town.
The 2017-18 schedule includes 12 Saturday home dates, including visits from the Islanders, Penguins, Avalanche, Ducks, Wild, Panthers, Rangers, Red Wings, Blues, Devils, Bruins and Blue Jackets. The Preds will play every Central Division club - Chicago, Colorado, Dallas and St. Louis - four times, with the exception of Minnesota and Winnipeg, who the Predators will see on five occasions.
