Nashville, Tenn. (Sept. 1, 2022) - Nashville Predators ownership group members Bryan and Stephanie Grane, founders of the St. Rita Mercy Foundation, have partnered with the Nashville Predators Foundation empowered by SmileDirectClub to distribute a $75,000 donation to Safe Haven Family Shelter to help fund additional affordable housing units in the Nashville area. The Preds Foundation presented a check to the organization today at Safe Haven's Nashville location at 1234 Third Ave. South.

"The important work taking place with Safe Haven Family Shelter aligns closely with the mission of St. Rita Mercy Foundation," Bryan Grane said. "Safe Haven continues to lead the community in providing services for families by keeping family units together while experiencing homelessness. Through this grant, they will be able to work towards obtaining affordable housing for families. We are proud to work alongside this great organization impacting the lives of families."
Safe Haven Family Shelter, an organization in Middle Tennessee dedicated to helping provide financial literacy and affordable housing to over 120 families, will be using the funds to help increase their capacity by building more affordable units.
"Safe Haven is proud to partner with St. Rita Mercy Foundation to address family homelessness in Middle Tennessee," said Jim Shulman, Safe Haven CEO. "One of the greatest challenges our families face is the lack of affordable housing in our community, and Safe Haven must be able to provide more housing options to meet the increased demand for services. This generous funding will help Safe Haven to build capacity through an investment in affordable housing units that will provide a much-needed resource and foundation for families experiencing homelessness. Thank you, St. Rita Mercy Foundation, for helping us give families a place to call home."
