Nashville, Tenn. (January 28, 2021) - Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced Thursday that the team has reassigned forward Philip Tomasino to Chicago (AHL) from the taxi squad. The Predators have also reassigned forward Mathieu Olivier from the main roster to the taxi squad.

Tomasino, 19 (7/28/01), most recently competed for Team Canada at the 2021 World Junior Championship, where he helped lead his country to an appearance in the gold-medal game. He tied for second on Canada in goals (4) and tied for sixth in points (6); among all tournament skaters, Tomasino was tied for seventh in goals and was one of 24 players to record at least six points. Nashville's first-round pick (24th overall) in the 2019 NHL Draft posted 100 points (40g-60a) in 62 games for the OHL's Niagara IceDogs and Oshawa Generals in the 2019-20 campaign.
Olivier, 23 (2/11/97), has appeared in five games for the Predators this season, recording an assist and a +2 rating in 10:15 of average ice time.
