Preds Recall Tolvanen, Trenin, Ingram from European Loans

Nashville, Tenn. (Jan. 1, 2021) - Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/GM David Poile announced Friday that the team has recalled forwards Eeli Tolvanen (Jokerit/KHL) and Yakov Trenin (SKA Saint Petersburg/KHL) and goaltender Connor Ingram (Björklöven/HockeyAllvenskan) from their European-based loans.
Tolvanen, 21 (4/22/99), tallied 13 points (5g-8a) in 25 games with Jokerit, which is based in Helsinki, Finland. The 5-foot-10, 192-pound forward closed his KHL loan with three points (1g-2a) in his final two games, including a goal in his last contest for Jokerit on Dec. 14. He netted two game-winning goals, scored once on the power play and recorded one three-point contest (1g-2a) on Oct. 6 vs. Spartak. The Vihti, Finland, native had a +3 rating and averaged 15:31 of ice time with Jokerit.

Trenin, 23 (1/13/97), skated in 21 games for the KHL's SKA Saint Petersburg (Russia), recording seven points (4g-3a) and a +5 rating while helping his team to the top record in the league's Bobrov Division. The Chelyabinsk, Russia, native notched three points (1g-2a) in his final four KHL contests, scoring a goal against Dinamo Riga in his final game for the club. Trenin tallied a shot on goal in all but four of his KHL contests and recorded four points (3g-1a) in a five-game span from Oct. 9 to 19.
Ingram, 23 (3/31/97), appeared in nine games in goal for Björklöven (located in Umea, Sweden) of the Swedish second division, posting a 5-4-0 record, 2.51 goals-against average and .898 save percentage. Among league goaltenders who have played in at least nine games, Ingram's goals-against average is the eighth-best; he also recorded one shutout during his stint in Sweden.
