Nashville, Tenn. (January 10, 2019) - Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced Thursday that the club has recalled goaltender Troy Grosenick from Milwaukee (AHL) on an emergency basis.
Grosenick, 29 (8/27/89), is 11-7-1 in 20 games played for the Admirals this season, who are fourth in the AHL's Central Division with a 19-13-5-1 record. He sits third in the AHL in save percentage (.924), fifth in goals-against average (2.35) and ninth in wins (11). Grosenick has won two of his last three starts with Milwaukee, including a 34-save performance in the Admirals' 2-1 win over Rockford on Jan. 2.
Never drafted, Grosenick is in his sixth professional season and has posted a 99-67-17 record in 195 AHL appearances to go along with a 2.57 goals-against average and 13 shutouts. The Brookfield, Wis., native has played in two NHL games with the San Jose Sharks - stopping 55 of 58 shots faced - and pitched a shutout in his League debut on Nov. 16, 2014 at Carolina.
