Nashville, Tenn. (October 24, 2016) - Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced Monday that the club has recalled defenseman Matt Irwin from Milwaukee (AHL).
Irwin, 28 (11/29/87), has played four games for the Admirals this season, recording one assist and four penalty minutes. He leads the team in shots on goal with 16. The Victoria, BC, native has 155 career NHL games to his credit with San Jose (2012-15) and Boston (2015-16), notching 50 points (16g-34a). The 6-foot-1, 207-pound blueliner spent two seasons at UMass from 2008-10 before signing with San Jose as an undrafted free agent.
