Nashville, Tenn. (February 13, 2023) - Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the team has recalled forward Philip Tomasino from Milwaukee (AHL).

Tomasino, 21 (7/28/01), has skated in 38 games for the Admirals this season and is third on his team in points with 32 (12g-20a). The 6-foot, 179-pound forward has posted three points (3a) in his last three games with Milwaukee, pushing him to 20 assists in 2022-23, the second-most among Admirals forwards. Appearing in his first season for the Admirals, Tomasino has helped the team reach second place in the AHL's Central Division with a 28-15-1-2 record (59 points), with his most productive stretch of the campaign coming from Dec. 21-Jan. 14, where he compiled points in eight of nine games, posting four goals and 10 assists. Tomasino also leads Milwaukee in power-play points with 13 (3g-10a); his 10 assists on the man advantage are tied for the team lead.
Originally drafted by Nashville in the first round (24th overall) of the 2019 NHL Draft, Tomasino made his League debut in 2021-22 and went on to spend the entire season with the Predators, recording 32 points (11g-21a) in 76 games. Among NHL rookies last season, he was tied for fifth in power-play goals (3); tied for eighth in game-winning goals (3); and tied for ninth in power-play points (9). He also became the third rookie in Predators history to record multiple three-point games in a season (2), joining Craig Smith (4) and Filip Forsberg (3). Prior to turning pro, Tomasino enjoyed a decorated OHL career with Niagara and Oshawa from 2017-20, tallying 196 points (79g-117a) in 190 games, including 100 points (40g-60a) in 2019-20 en route to being named a finalist for the league's most outstanding player award. Internationally, the Mississauga, Ont., native represented Canada at the 2021 World Junior Championship, where he earned silver, and at the 2019 U-18 World Championship.
