Originally drafted by the Predators in the second round (55th overall) of the 2015 NHL Draft, Trenin made his League debut with Nashville in 2019-20 and has gone on to appear in 146 career games, tallying 41 points (24g-17a). He also spent parts of four seasons with the AHL's Milwaukee Admirals, where he compiled 87 points (40g-47a) in 155 games and was named to the 2020 AHL All-Star Classic roster after recording 20 goals and 35 points in 32 games. Trenin has skated in 10 career Stanley Cup Playoff games for the Predators, scoring five goals - including two multi-goal efforts. He became the fourth rookie in Predators history to record a multi-goal game in the playoffs when he did so in Game 5 of the 2021 First Round against Carolina, and all five of his tallies have come in his last six appearances. Prior to turning pro, the Chelyabinsk, Russia, native played three QMJHL seasons for Gatineau (2014-17) and represented his country at the 2017 World Junior Championship.
