Nashville, Tenn. (November 3, 2018) - Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has defenseman Matt Donovan to a two-year, two-way contract worth $650,000 at the NHL level and $162,500 at the AHL level in 2018-19 and $700,000 (NHL) and $200,000 (AHL) in 2019-20.
Donovan, 28 (5/9/90), leads the Milwaukee Admirals and is tied for 13th in the AHL in points with 12 (6g-6a) in 13 games. Among AHL blueliners, Donovan's six goals are second and his 12 points are fourth. He posted a six-game point streak (4g-5a) from Oct. 9-21 and has found the scoresheet in all but five games for the Admirals this season, who lead the AHL's Central Division with an 8-2-3-0 record (19 points).
