"With all of the ongoing renovations and all the things that the team does to freshen the experience for the fan, part of that is the food experience," Delaware North Executive Chef Wade Gnann said. "We work very hard over the summer to bring fresh and new offerings to everyone that comes in. We've got a lot of Season-Ticket Citizens and diehard fans with a lot of high expectations. That's what we work for every summer."
Gnann and his staff aren't about to disappoint.
One of his favorites is the Nashville's Finest Dog, complete with hot chicken, pimento cheese and a signature sauce. Then, there's the biscuit burger with, what else, a scratch-made biscuit in place of a bun.
At the food court taco stand, a Picadillo taco is new on the menu with ground beef, chopped green olive, onion and potato, as well as a vegan tortilla soup with customizable toppings. The BBQ stand features a new BBQ taco with smoked pork and all of the traditional toppings.
For the hot chicken lovers, hot chicken fries with cheddar sauce and chopped pickles will serve as the perfect intermission pick-me-up, while the jalapeno popper grilled cheese with cream cheese, bacon and jalapenos packs a delicious punch.
On the club level - which is open to all fans - a hot chicken and waffle sandwich, smoked ribeye sandwich and brisket chili nachos are highlighted, along with the classic buttermilk chicken tenders and the Smashville hot dog, all served by Levy Restaurants. For dessert, try the chocolate chip cookie stuffed salted pretzel (trust me, you want this) served with vanilla ice cream and house made caramel sauce.
Is your mouth watering yet? Well, that's the goal.
"That's what we strive for, to make the food bigger and better every season" Gnann said. "What the team puts on the ice is better every year, the things they do in the community are better every year, and the food has to be better every year, too."
