Nashville, Tenn. (February 25, 2023) - Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the team has acquired a second-round pick in the 2024 NHL Draft from the Winnipeg Jets in exchange for forward Nino Niederreiter.

Niederreiter, 30 (9/8/92), had 28 points (18g-10a) in 56 games with the Predators this season, his first with the organization. A veteran of 12 NHL campaigns, the Chur, Switzerland, native has recorded 396 career points (199g-197a) in 788 games with the New York Islanders, Minnesota, Carolina and Nashville.
The Predators own eight selections in the 2023 NHL Draft, which will be hosted in Nashville at Bridgestone Arena on June 28-29 - one in each of the first, second, fifth and sixth rounds and two in the second and fourth rounds. Following Saturday's trade, Nashville is now in possession of eight picks in the 2024 NHL Draft - one in each of the first, third, fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh rounds and two in the second round.
