Apr. 13, 2021: Tampa Bay Lightning vs. Nashville Predators

Nashville, Tenn. (August 13, 2021) - The Nashville Predators announced today game start times for the 2021-22 season, the franchise's 24th in the NHL, presented by Fifth Third Bank.
The Predators begin
their 82-game campaign
at home on Oct. 14 with a 7 p.m. CT contest against the NHL's newest franchise, the Seattle Kraken. It will serve as the first of 29 home games this season that feature a 7 p.m. CT puck drop. An Oct. 30 meeting against the New York Islanders is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. CT, the first of five Saturday matinee home games on the docket.
As the calendar shifts to November, four of Nashville's five home games will start at 7 p.m. CT, with the team's contest vs. New Jersey on Nov. 26 set to begin at 5 p.m. CT. December features a 6 p.m. CT home matchup with the Montreal Canadiens on Dec. 4, while the Preds will ring in 2022 with a 1 p.m. CT Saturday clash against the Chicago Blackhawks on New Year's Day at Bridgestone Arena.

February features just three games - all at home - due to the scheduled breaks for the 2022 NHL All-Star Weekend in Las Vegas (Feb. 4-5) and the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics (Feb. 7-22). As a reminder, no final agreement or decision has been made to this point regarding the possible participation of NHL Players in the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics. Talks remain ongoing. Subject to reaching agreement with the NHL Players' Association and the International Ice Hockey Federation on all outstanding issues, including appropriate COVID-19 insurance for NHL Players, the League has agreed, per the Collective Bargaining Agreement, to pause from Feb. 7-22, 2022 to accommodate NHL Player participation in the Olympic Games. The NHL and the NHL Players' Association will retain full authority to decide not to participate should COVID-19 conditions worsen or otherwise pose a threat to the health and safety of NHL Players, or for any other reason that may warrant such decision. In the event NHL Players participate in the 2022 Winter Olympics, the NHL regular season will resume on Wednesday, Feb. 23. If, for whatever reason, there is no NHL Player participation in the Olympics, a revised Regular Season schedule will be released which, to the greatest extent possible, will adopt the dates and games reflected in the schedule contemplating Olympic participation.
The headlining event on Nashville's 2021-22 schedule is the 2022 NHL Stadium Series™ tilt against the Tampa Bay Lightning at Nissan Stadium on Feb. 26. The game - the second one to be played outdoors in Predators history and the first to be hosted by the team - will begin at 6:30 p.m. CT.
Moving into March, Nashville will play host to three games not scheduled for the traditional start time of 7 p.m. CT. On Saturday, March 12, the Predators will take on the St. Louis Blues at 11:30 a.m. CT; Nashville last faced St. Louis at that time during the 2018-19 campaign. A week later, Nashville and Toronto will meet at 6 p.m. CT at Bridgestone Arena, and on Sunday, March 27, the Predators and Philadelphia Flyers will play each other for the first time in Smashville since Jan. 1, 2019 in a 5 p.m. CT contest.
In April, the final month of the regular season and Nashville's busiest slate of games at home, with nine scheduled at Bridgestone Arena, the Predators will play on Saturday at 5 p.m. CT in consecutive weeks on April 9 vs. Florida and April 16 vs. Chicago. Nashville's game on April 16 is the front end of its lone home-home back-to-back of the season; the team will close out the set with a 5 p.m. CT game vs. St. Louis on April 17.
All regionally available games will be televised on Bally Sports South and the Bally Sports app. A full broadcast schedule will be announced at a later date.
ESPN, Turner Sports, Sportsnet and TVA Sports are the NHL's national broadcast partners for the 2021-22 season and will provide comprehensive coverage throughout the season. A complete listing of the schedule is available at
