Nashville, Tenn. (August 24, 2020) - Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/GM David Poile announced today that the team has loaned forward Eeli Tolvanen to the Kontinental Hockey League's Jokerit (Helsinki, Finland) until the start of Nashville's training camp for the 2020-21 NHL season.

Tolvanen, 21 (4/22/99), was second on the AHL's Milwaukee Admirals in goals with 21 this season, his second professional campaign in North America. He also added 15 assists for 36 points, tied for the fifth-most on the Ads, and fired 191 shots on goal, a team high and the fourth-most in the AHL. Tolvanen has skated in seven career NHL games after making his debut on March 31, 2018 at Bridgestone Arena vs. Buffalo; he scored his first career NHL goal and added on an assist on Dec. 1, 2018 vs. Chicago.
Originally drafted in the first round, 30th overall, by the Predators in the 2017 NHL Draft, this will be the Vihti, Finland, native's second stint with Jokerit after he posted 19 goals and 36 points with the club in 2017-18. During that season, the 5-foot-10, 181-pound forward set the KHL record for points by a teenager in a single campaign and earned a nod to the league's All-Star Game.
