Nashville, Tenn. (December 30, 2017) - Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced Saturday that the club has recalled forward Frederick Gaudreau from the American Hockey League's Milwaukee Admirals. Additionally, the club has placed forward Filip Forsberg on Injured Reserve.
Gaudreau tallied the game-deciding goal in Milwaukee's 3-2 shootout victory over the Chicago Wolves on Friday. He has 10 points (2g-8a) in 14 games with the Admirals in 2017-18 and recorded five points (1g-4a) in a recent three-game point streak from Dec. 17-23. The forward has skated in 17 games with Nashville this season, tallying three assists and averaging 9:34 of ice time per game. He recorded his first career multi-point game on Nov. 3 at Anaheim when he picked up two assists in Nashville's 5-3 victory and had an assist on Dec. 5 at Dallas.

Never drafted, Gaudreau tallied 50 goals, 84 assists and 134 points in three seasons with the QMJHL's Shawinigan Cataractes and Drummondville Voltigeurs, winning the Memorial Cup in 2012. He has 105 points (45g-60a) in 191 career AHL games with the Admirals. Last season, Gaudreau became just the second player in NHL history to score each of his first three career goals (regular season and playoffs) in the Stanley Cup Final, joining Chicago's John Harms (1944), after finding the back of the net in Games 1, 3 and 4.
