Nashville, Tenn. (November 9, 2021) - Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the team has recalled forwards Michael McCarron and Mathieu Olivier from Milwaukee (AHL). Additionally, the team has placed forwards Nick Cousins (week-to-week) and Filip Forsberg (week-to-week) on injured reserve with upper-body injuries.

McCarron, 26 (5/7/95), has picked up two assists in seven games for the Admirals this season, his seventh professional campaign. In 2020-21, McCarron competed in six games for the Predators - his first NHL action since 2017-18 - and posted a +1 rating and 16 penalty minutes. The 6-foot-6, 232-pound center owns 75 career games of NHL experience with Montreal and Nashville; he also has 131 points (53g-78a) in 239 career AHL contests. McCarron was drafted by Montreal in the first round (25th overall) of the 2013 NHL Draft.
Olivier, 24 (2/11/97), began the Predators' season on injured reserve and has appeared in five games for Milwaukee, recording 15 penalty minutes. Last season, the 6-foot-2, 210-pound forward established career highs in games (30), goals (3), assists (2) and points (5) with Nashville, after skating in the first eight games of his NHL career during the 2019-20 campaign. Olivier, who was born in Biloxi, Miss., while his father, Simon, was playing professionally in the ECHL, is the first Mississippi-born player to appear in an NHL game.
