Nashville, Tenn. (May 2, 2022) - Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the team recalled defenseman Philippe Myers from Toronto (AHL).

Myers, 25 (1/25/97), skated in 27 games with the Predators in 2021-22, his first season with the organization, and posted four points (1g-3a). The 6-foot-5, 210-pound blueliner picked up his first point with the team on Jan. 4 at Vegas, an assist, and scored his first goal with the Predators on March 17 at Philadelphia. Myers, who also had a +5 rating, 50 hits and 17 blocked shots, was assigned to the Marlies on March 23 and closed out the AHL regular season with seven points (2g-5a) in 16 games, including a two-goal performance on April 15 vs. Hartford.
Undrafted, Myers was acquired by Nashville from Philadelphia in July 2021 after skating in 115 NHL contests during parts of three seasons with the Flyers. The Moncton, New Brunswick native played four seasons of junior hockey with the QMJHL's Rouyn-Noranda Huskies from 2014-17 (203gp, 29g-63a-92pts), winning a league title and landing First-Team All-Star accolades in 2015-16. He was also a member of Team Canada's entry at the 2019 World Championship and 2017 World Junior Championship, earning a silver medal at both tournaments.
