Nashville, TN - Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced Saturday that the club has recalled forward Miikka Salomaki from Milwaukee (AHL) on placed him on injured reserve.
Salomaki was sent to Milwaukee on a conditioning assignment on Wednesday. He played for the Admirals on Friday and was -1 with one shot on goal and four penalty minutes. The 23-year-old appeared in the first two games of the season for the Preds before being placed on injured reserve on Oct. 18 with an upper-body injury.
The Preds return to action this weekend with two games at Bridgestone Arena. They will take on the New Jersey Devils today at 1:00 p.m. CT, and the Philadelphia Flyers on Sunday at 5:00 p.m. Both games will be televised on FOX Sports Tennessee and can be heard on the Preds flagship radio station, 102.5 The Game.
