Vange for Vezina?

THEY SAID IT

McDonagh on playing following Monday's tragic shooting:
"It wasn't [just another game]. And quite frankly, there really are no words that you can say about what went on yesterday in Nashville and it's just a tragedy for those families and everybody affected. You don't really realize it until you have kids of your own, the perspective that it hits you with. It's not like this isn't the first school shooting. Unfortunately, that's happened, but now that you have kids and it happens close to home it's definitely different. And like any parent, you do anything you can to help your family and your kids out. And then at the end of the day, there's a second family for us in our profession, and it's our hockey family and our team. We felt like we needed to go out and try to do our job the best we could and sacrifice and leave it all out there and just try to maybe bring a little bit of inspiration to the city of Nashville."
Coach Hynes on playing following Monday's tragic shooting:
"It was something that we had talked with our guys about before the game. Obviously, what happened in Nashville hit home to people in the organization and people in the city of Nashville and even Ryan McDonagh - he didn't fly with the team yesterday because his daughter was close to the school and their school was in lockdown… We're on a platform here as professional athletes and coaches and the city of Nashville means a lot to these people and we wanted to put in an effort for the first responders, for the people that were involved in the incident, the families, the school. And we're just really proud of the guys. We talked about it prior to the game - make what happened tonight special and put forth a special effort that could represent Nashville the right way and the fighting spirit that the city had, the first responders had and everyone involved had. So we're really proud of the guys."
Glass on beating the first-place Bruins:
"There's a lot of belief in this room and beating that first-place team just gives you that much more belief. We all stepped up, a lot of young guys, and we had a lot of energy. This is the game that builds character for a lot of our young players and really shows that we can play in this League. And that's something that I'm really thankful for and really proud that we could get this win."
McDonagh on the effort against Boston:
"We know where we're at and we know the opportunity that we have here. We kind of control our own destiny in our minds. It felt like we played a solid game at home against the Leafs and couldn't find a way to get points. And we just wanted to put forth another effort like that and give ourselves a chance. And certainly, Juice had to make some huge saves along the way and everybody made little plays and that's what it takes to win hockey games."
