No matter the result, the Predators are back in Colorado for the final time this spring.
Game 6 between the Preds and the Avs comes this evening from Pepsi Center, and with a 3-2 series lead, Nashville has another opportunity to close things out and advance to the second round with a victory.
A feverish comeback from the Avalanche at Bridgestone Arena on Friday night left a bitter taste in the immediate aftermath. Now, the Predators have regrouped, refocused and are moving on, looking to avenge Game 5's result and punch their ticket to Round Two.

"We know the situation," Preds center Mike Fisher said Saturday. "There's no panic. We would've loved to have gotten it done [on Friday] and been relaxing [Saturday], but playoffs are tough. We're playing a great hockey team and things happen, it's just how you regroup… We're only concerned about one game and that's [tonight]. That's our focus."
"It's one loss," Preds Head Coach Peter Laviolette said. "That's what the playoffs are all about; it's about picking yourself back up when something doesn't go your way and going back out and trying to make things right. There's a lot of confidence in the room that the guys will head on out to Colorado and get this done."
The Preds are 3-0 all-time in a series when up 3-2 after Game 5. In addition, when leading three games to two, Nashville has closed out the series each time in Game 6.

Last Time Out:
The Predators put 45 shots at the Colorado net in Game 5, but a deflection off of Nick Bonino's skate marked the only time the home team was able to beat goaltender Andrew Hammond, who was filling in for the injured Jonathan Bernier. It was the first time in the postseason the Preds have scored less than three goals against the Avalanche in a single game.
Captain Roman Josi had eight shots on goal, a playoff career high and the ninth time a Nashville player has recorded at least that many attempts on net in a postseason game.
Forward Scott Hartnell took the place of winger Ryan Hartman in Game 5 after Hartman was suspended for a single contest by the NHL for an illegal check to the head. Hartman is eligible to return tonight in Colorado.
Filip Forsberg, Ryan Johansen, Austin Watson and Colton Sissons all share the team lead in postseason scoring with five points apiece in the series. Watson, Forsberg and Sissons all have three goals to their name; Johansen and Craig Smith have two.

The Opposition:
Gabriel Landeskog and Sven Andrighetto played the role of heroes in Game 5, each scoring late in regulation to give Colorado the win. Landeskog leads his club with three goals and six points, followed by Nathan MacKinnon with three goals and five points. Blake Comeau, Gabriel Bourque and Alexander Kerfoot have each tallied twice in the series.
Series Highlights:
Nashville owns the NHL's third-best penalty kill - and the best among the remaining teams in the First Round - in this season's playoffs at 90 percent (18-for-20). The Preds have limited Colorado's eighth-ranked regular-season power play to just two goals, one each in Game 2 and 4. On the road, Nashville has killed off nine-of-10 Colorado power plays.
Mattias Ekholm has three points (3a) in his last two games and has produced two multi-assist games in Nashville's First Round series (Games 2 and 4). Ekholm is tied for second in assists (5) and tied for third in points (5) among all NHL blueliners in the 2018 Stanley Cup Playoffs.
