The start of the Preds 2022-2023 home slate is only a couple days away, and the Bridgestone Arena team has spent the off-season making numerous renovations to the arena and its many food menus.
Speaking to the media at a food tasting and renovation presentation on Tuesday, Senior Vice President of Operations for Bridgestone Arena David Urso said countless individuals have worked tirelessly to give Smashville the best in-game experience in all of sports.
"We have a 365-day mentality to improving the arena," Urso said. "If we find something that we can do to improve the arena at any time of the year, we will do that and we will do it as quickly as possible. Having said that, we work relentlessly and tirelessly over the offseason every year to try to get the bulk of this stuff done by opening day and we're really happy with the way this has all turned out over the past several weeks to be done in time for [Thursday]."

When fans arrive outside the arena, they'll see new exterior illuminated signs at both the main plaza entrance and the SoBro entrance.
Upon entry, fans will experience the fastest, most convenient and effective security screening process in the world, thanks to a major investment in 14 state-of-the-art Evolv metal detectors. Fans entering the venue without bags will no longer need to take any items out of their pockets and will be able to get from the front doors to their seats in a matter of seconds.

Fans will want to arrive with plenty of time to see all the new additions to the concourse as well.
For starters, there's the Balti Virtual Photo Kiosk, a six-foot-tall, user-controlled kiosk that allows fans to pose for photos side-by-side with their favorite Preds players. The photos are then texted or emailed to fans within seconds.
For those waiting in lines at concessions, you won't miss a second of the action thanks to 272 additional screens recently installed around the concourse.
A couple fan favorites are also moving to new spaces in the arena this season. 102.5 The Game and their studio will be moving back to the Jack Daniels Barrel House outside section 113 while Big Machine Vodka Spiked Coolers will now be located in the Electric Lounge outside section 118.
For those who don't want to leave their seats but can't share their favorite moments due to a low battery, new FUZE mobile chargers are available to borrow and bring to your seat to charge your devices while watching the game.
And there's plenty of new things to see in-game as well.
Preds fans will now be able to watch NHL HITS - or, hockey information and tracking system - on all screens inside the arena. This cutting-edge new system provides real-time statistics and data including player tracking, puck speed, shift time and much more.
Of course, it wouldn't be a new season without a smorgasbord of new, delicious concessions options and Bridgestone Arena's in-house chefs spent the summer working on new recipes specific to Smashville and its unique flavors.
Some new items to expect in concessions include the Nashville Hot Chicken Corndog with a spicy jalapeno ranch dressing, the Southern Brisket Burger with pimento cheese and caramelized Tennessee whiskey BBQ onions, the Nashville Calzone stuffed with hot chicken sausage, hot dogs and bratwurst, the Bison Burger with smoked bacon jam and garlic aioli on a toasted pretzel bun and Music City Nachos with hot chicken dip.

Pete and Terry's Tavern received updates to its menu as well, with the addition of a new tavern salad and a delicious Bahn Mi sandwich with hoisin-garlic aioli.
Thirsty, anyone?
Some new alcoholic drink options include frozen cocktails, Cutwater Bars in sections 118 and 330, Big Machine Vodka Spiked Cooler Pouches at section 122 and a seasonal pumpkin punch at all major bars.
Smashville can experience all of it starting Thursday, as the Predators kick off their home slate against the Dallas Stars.
