Nashville Defeats Chicago on Final Night of Regular Season to Take Central Crown

They've done it again.
For the second-consecutive season, the Nashville Predators are Central Division Champions. A 5-2 win over the Chicago Blackhawks on Saturday night to conclude the 2018-19 regular season clinched the divisional crown for the Preds, who will participate in the Stanley Cup Playoffs for a franchise-record fifth-straight year.
For the third time in NHL history, three teams were in the running for the same division title on the final day of play - the Predators, St. Louis Blues and Winnipeg Jets.

In addition to the Central Division title, the Predators have also clinched home-ice advantage through at least the first two rounds of the postseason and have hit the 100-point plateau for the seventh time in franchise history.
The Predators will play the Dallas Stars in Round One. The schedule for the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs will be announced at 9 a.m. (CT) on Sunday morning. Stay tuned to NashvillePredators.com for full details the Preds in the postseason.
